How To: The Poet Cardigan

One cardigan. Many flavours. Preppy. City chic. Casual. Formal. Loungey. The beauty of the Poet Cardigan lies in its understated and versatile silhouette. Loose, relaxed, with sweet poet style sleeves. We put together this styling cheat sheet to show you all the different ways that one piece can take care of so much.

This Poet Cardigan is cut with a just right length that works well tucked or untucked. The deep v-neck is a nice touch that allows all your favorite tops and sweaters to peek through. When worn with a button-up, it instantly transforms your outfit into an effortlessly smart and preppy ensemble. Tuck both the button-up and cardigan in for a more formal work-appropriate look. We've styled it here with the Signature Dolman Shirt, Unisex Elastic Pull-Up Trouser in Tan, and Canvas Skate Trouser in Stone White.

The great thing about the Poet Cardigan is that it can be worn as a base, mid or outer layer. Thanks to that deep v-neck, it makes for a chic knitted top when worn alone.

When it's styled this way, we recommend throwing an oversized jacket over the top for a cool, street inspired look. We teamed it with the Unisex Chore Jacket. For an extra warm and cozy winter look, go with a fleece outer layer like the Curly Jacket.

For days when little effort is required or wanted, this is the perfect layer to casually throw on and lounge around in. Also comes in handy when you need to quickly duck out to run an errand. A stylish touch to an otherwise simple lazy day outfit. Our current lazy day ensemble is the Unisex Long Trouser with the Linen Textured Tank Tee.

If you want a super comfortable but chic WFH outfit, just opt for a flowy dress with this Poet Cardigan thrown over the top. We recommend the Signature Raw Silk T-Shirt Reversible Maxi or the Signature Raw Silk Maxi Shirtdress. The Raw Silk has a nice thickness to it that is fall ready.

Regardless of your base layers, the Poet Cardigan will give you that extra boost of warmth and coziness, while complete your outfits.
