This month we've got travel on our mind. Our head designer Szeki is back in her family's hometown of Hong Kong for a little business-meets-pleasure trip. Over the next few weeks she'll be working on her next collection, catching up with the 7115 in-house production team, and eating her weight in dim sum. We raided her luggage to see what pieces she's packed with her on this trip.
"My philosophy is: travel light and comfort first. I've only packed five core pieces, which will be more than enough to get me through everything I need to do over the next few weeks."
Cropped 3/4 Sleeve Button Down - Summer Edition
"I was so excited to pack this! It's a crisp and slightly sheer cotton-linen fabric that has a papery texture to it. It's super breathable, great for strolling through muggy city streets and also works well as a throw-over. We introduced this in our SS14 collection and I brought it back this summer due to popular demand!"
Spring Wide-Legged Trousers
"I am living in these trousers. It's our take on the silhouette of the moment. They offer a relaxed fit with a very flattering high-waist. The soft linen is not only breathable but it creates graceful movement when you walk. Thanks to the elastic back waistband, I can comfortably eat my way through this trip! What more could you ask for?"
Signature T-Shirt Reversible Maxi
"I always travel with a reversible piece. This trip I've picked our Signature T-Shirt Reversible Maxi. The versatility allows you to get so much wear out of just one dress and you can easily take it from day to night. I opt for the scoop neck in the day and switch it out for the v-neck for an elegant evening look. It goes with just about any shoes - a pair of sandals, a low heel or even a white sneaker."
Linen Pocket Shirt
"This is a casual white button-up staple, but the mandarin collar and fun textured linen fabric adds a little quirkiness. Great for vacations. The boxy silhouette is also comfortable and breathable because the fabric won't cling to your body. It's the best for long days walking the fabric market."
Short Sleeve Linen Long Coat
"It can get chilly at night so I wanted something I could throw on that was light but still elegant. The length adds a dramatic feel. I like this coat because it instantly refines your look but the fit is generous and the linen is so soft."
